The Google Maps API that is used to display maps on websites is no longer a free service!
To use the maps service for your website, you now must create account with Google Cloud. To use the Map features you are required to use an API key from the Cloud console. Once added, requests to Google Maps sent from the code of your website by your users will be charged to your billing account.
One benefit of the new Google Maps API is it’s customisability and what our web team can do with them.
If your website or application is showing errors where Google Maps used to be, usually displaying “Development purposes only” you will to need create your Google Account and update the code with your generated API key. Alternatively contact our web team and we will set this up for you.
