Windows 7 – End of Life

On the 14th of January, Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 7 and will no longer update it with security updates, software updates. They will also stop providing technical support.

This will allow hackers to have easy access after this date. It is common for hackers to wait after the date to find ways to exploit vulnerable systems and cause a lot of trouble. Your PC will also be more vulnerable to viruses.

While Windows 7 is a an old operating system at this point launching all the way back in July 2009 it’s still very popular, with recent reports from Net market share saying that Windows 7 is still being used on 39% of all PCs. So, with the news that Windows 7 will no longer be supported by Microsoft it means businesses will have to update to Windows 10 to stay secure and PCI compliant.
